Gotcha Day!

One year ago today...
...Zoe came to live with us...
...forever.
And what a year it continues to be!

Both of our little ones (one of them not so little anymore) have adapted nicely. Here they are competing for couch space.
Zoe delights in the roughhousing...
...until Chengis invariably gains the upper hand, er...paw.

Chengis looked so comfortable napping in the sunny spot that Zoe had to join him. The fingers in her mouth indicate sleep time.
Once Chengis vacated the small patch of sun, Zoe moved right in for the full effect.
Where's Zoe?There she is! (A game she never tires of playing.)

Congratulations Sara and Julian—you made it through the first year of parenthood with flying colors. Zoe is one lucky little girl. She looks so happy and content. Obviously, having a mama and papa agrees with her.

Wow one year already. That is amazing. Zoe is growing and she just looks so happy. I am happy to see everyone survived the first year :)

Happy Anniversary! What a difference a year makes! I remember this time last year very well - it didn't seem like you'd EVER bring that girl home. And look at her now - she is even more beautiful!
