Have you ever wondered how space shuttle astronauts might feel during those final seconds of the countdown at the exact moment when an unanticipated “snag” is encountered causing a termination of the lift-off?
And remember how we have emphasized that anything can occur at any point in time where international adoptions are concerned?
Well today we know how those astronauts must feel.
Due to a minor complication, our launch date has now been rescheduled for February 6.
Rest assured, everything is still progressing very positively from our perspective and there is nothing to be concerned about – just some processing issues that need to be ironed out.
And we have heard that February on the steppes can prove to be particularly invigorating when experienced as a family.
Anyhow, we shall keep you updated over the coming days.

That is a bummer...but you seem to be taking it in stride. You are almost there....almost there...February will be here in a flash.
February 6 may seem like a long way away but its right around the corner! I'm sure its frustrating but at least you know something a little more definate. I'm sure you are really excited! Me too!
That's like having a great big wrapped Christmas present under the tree that you've waited forever for and just when you think you can finally open it...you have to wait awhile longer. Aargh.
Suzanne is right, Feb 6th is not that far away. Now you have extra time to make sure everything is set before you leave.
UJust a few weeks! You do have a great attitude.
Minor complications are still acceptable when you have a travel date which is only 3 weeks apart.
I wish you a Happy Anniversary! Congratulations and my thoughts are with you.
Funny, I just happened to finally log onto your blog today and it's your anniversary. Wow. I admire your positive attitude during the long wait and winter both! Happy Anniversary! I know the joy of your being a family will overwhelm the drag of these days. I'm looking forward to the good news.
love,
teri
S&J,
I am sorry about the delay but it will fly by. Happy Anniversary..
A few extra weeks to get excited and repack :)

It's funny, but as long as you can see yourself moving along in the process (even if you're only going 5 mph), it helps calm the nerves. Only a couple more weeks and you're there.
oh gosh. disappointing. hopefully the next few weeks will fly by. the same happened with us and we were delayed by 4 weeks........unfortunately part of the game.
but honestly you will forget it later.
The Keogh Clan.
Oops. Sorry to hear that. Though now you can do all of those things that you thought you didn't have time to get done.
Hi there!!! Thinking about the two of you!! Do something fun today - go get some fun child related item - your time is still coming soon...you are lucky...you know you will be going very soon, your journey is closing in on the end...you are def on the 24th mile of the marathon run. But for this marathon they have thrown in a few hurdles here and there to just test your endurance. Go put on your gym shoes and stretch for the last two miles!
Hang in there! February 6th is a getting close! February 6th is a great day! It's the birthday of Babe Ruth, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Ronald Reagan, and Axl Rose. It's also the day in history on which both Singapore and New Zealand were founded. It's also Bob Marley Day (only celebrated in Jamaica and Ethiopia, apparently). Random thoughts for you... courtesy of Google.
I know that has to be so frustrating being so close. We are only in the paperchase and I'm frustrated all the time, lol!
