The Week at Grandma's House

With the antics of eight cousins ranging in age from 2 ½ (Zoe) to almost 10 years, Grandma’s house has been busy this week. And loud. But we have made it through without further injury and with far more giggles than tears, so we consider it a roaring success.

Numerous attempts were made at getting all eight cousins lined up for a photo. Herding cats would have been easier. The intent was to line them up according to age. With one particularly shy one (Ty, the second youngest) in the bunch, we finally settled for just getting all eight in the same photo, a challenge in and of itself.

In addition to general play with “my kids,” as Zoe refers to her cousins, highlights for Zoe have included seeing cows, riding a tricycle, climbing fences (and everything else in sight), and learning to swing by herself.

Playing hairdresser with Paige, age 10 (in a couple weeks) and the oldest cousin.
Sitting with Norah, age 4, the next youngest girl and third youngest cousin.
Maybe she will be able to reach the pedals on the next visit.
Sharing a giggle with Norah.
Swinging by herself!

Hey lads. Looks like you had a great time with family. I love the photo of Zoe brushing her cousins hair - how sweet.

Our Ash is in Ireland for a week with Daddy and I am just finished looking at facebook photos of her with her cousins - it is lovely to see family all together.
