Playground Fun
August brought summer heat (finally) and an end to the six week Toronto city strike (finally!!!). Among those on strike were our garbage collectors and parks and recreation employees. City parks were open throughout the strike but most were not maintained and some became dump sites for garbage. Luckily, our neighbourhood fared much better than some. Pools and splash pads were closed for the duration, but have now reopened and are more popular than ever in the August heat. With the end of summer just one turn of the calendar away, we are taking full advantage of the great outdoors and all that a well-rested and newly negotiated Toronto work force has to offer.

She is spectacularly beautiful!
Beautiful photos of a beautiful little girl. Take care.
What a sweetie pie. Glad to hear that the strike was over before the heat arrived. Heat and garbage—not a good thing.
As always beautiful picture of a beautiful girl.
We are in the middle of a heat wave here. It has been close to 100 degrees for the last few days and don't think it is letting up anytime soon. I am not a lover of the real hot hot weather. lol
Hugs and kisses to Zoe...
Hey there. Yeah summer finally arrived (and it is mid-August) glad to see little Zoe out enjoying herself............enjoy Sunday if you guys go.
lets try and do something in September with the kiddies? My mam is coming over for 3 weeks but maybe towards the end of the month?
Take care.

so ironic...we are griping about the heat and so ready for it to cool off-and you are grateful for the heat. :)
We have some great parks too but it's just been so hot. :)
However..it's getting a tad cooler cuz we've had major rain and our pool is getting chilly already!!
Glad the strike is over..gargabe..ick.
Love Zoe and Pooh. That was Sean's first word..Pooh (as in Winnie the-not the #2). He was only 6 mos old-pointed to the tv and coo'd..Pooh!
We watched pooh when he'd wake up all during the night his first few months.
Leeza has zero interest in pooh-it's all elmo and friends. :)
Did anyone ever tell you that you take the BEST pictures!!!! :)
Wow a 6 week strike on garbage collection! I could not imagine!
So adorable! And adventurous! I love the photo of her in the swing, parallel to the ground. And of course, she is just so sweet with her Pooh. Thanks for the update!
Great action photos!
