Here is the weekend in photos:
Dyeing Easter eggs was first on our agenda. As much as Zoe enjoyed it, her main concern was how we were going to get the treats inside them. Obviously she remembers the plastic ones from last year with sweets inside.
She was not going to let her basket out of her sight, even to decorate cookies. (Apparently word had gotten out that there was a little girl skimming chocolates.) She very cleverly and carefully hooked it over the back of her chair before attending to the cookies.
She started by trying to propel it with her feet.
With temperature records being shattered all across the province, the warm weather was on everybody's mind this weekend. We couldn't help but remember the huge piles of snow we came home to two years ago, especially as we were seeking the coolness of shade at yesterday's outdoor party.
Other than remembering the snow, our weekend was so busy that we did not take much time to fully reflect on our homecoming anniversary. But we frequently look at the photobooks we made from the blog with Zoe. In that way, we often relive the various steps of the journey on a frequent basis. We love sharing the stories with Zoe as much as she loves hearing them. To say that we cannot imagine life without Zoe is an understatement. Happy Homecoming, sweet girl!

Happy Easter and Homecoming!
What a wonderful post! Zoe is just adorable and her hair, my my has it grown or what?? It is just so beautiful, have you ever cut it?
I love the story of keeping her Easter basket near her in fear someone might take some of her candies, my kind of girl!
What a cool bike she got, it looks like she is learning how to use it and is loving how it works!
Much love to all of you
Happy anniversary! Isn't it wonderful that on the one hand, it seems like yesterday and on the other, it seems like these kiddos have been here forever? Zoe looks like she's having a great time at your Easter events - especially with candy! Miras's favorite color is "lello" too. Cool car! We're anxious to get out Miras's big wheel as I'm pretty sure he'll actually be able to touch the peddles this year!
A plasma car, I'd love one! Happy Easter and a special happy homecoming day!
I love the pictures of Zoe at the zoo, especially with the snow leopards!
It was a beautiful weekend and it looks like you had a wonderful time!!
Ah - the update is great. Last weekend the weather was glorious wasnt it? We had family over to celebrate both the kids birthdays and instead of a formal dinner we had the first BBQ of the season - love it.
Julian that hat!! Having a hard time finding the words to describe..........(maybe I will have to get back to you on that!!)
BTW got the first quote - a cool 1/4 million........would have been fine except for that last $5,000. Just put us over the edge!!! Ha!
Take care.
