Fantasy Fair

The West Edmonton Mall this is not. But Toronto's Woodbine Shopping Centre also has an indoor amusement park (slightly smaller) and is much closer than trekking out to Alberta. We have wiled away a couple Sunday afternoons this winter at the Fantasy Fair amusement park. The rides are geared for younger children and are perfect for Zoe. She strongly agrees!

Technically not one of the park rides, Zoe still enjoyed the coin-op John Deere.
A view of part of the park as seen from the top of the ferris wheel.
Daughter and Daddy on the train.
Zoe's favourite ride is the airplanes. It is one of two rides that parents could not go on with their children. Once Zoe decided to brave it alone, it was hard to get her off! We were there early enough that there were no lines and Zoe was allowed to just stay on for ride after ride, much to her delight.
The carousel is always a favourite and can accommodate the whole family.
Zoe's second favourite ride is the boats. It happens to be the other "no parents allowed" one. Go figure.
Zoe ended up in the slow boat on this particular round.

Looks like a great way to chase away cabin fever! And I'm happy to see that Zoe likes John Deere!

I wish we had a mall like this nearby too! Such fun.

Isn't it odd that one of two rides they don't allow parents on has water?? What a strange choice to not allow parents to 'help'. It appears she did just fine though, so I guess I'm worrying for nothing! This is usually the case. :)

You all go to the coolest places. :)

Wow-what a great kid's place! Looks like the perfect birthday party location for a group of active little girls someday.

Lovely to see you and catch up yesterday. It was lots of fun.
