Splish, Splash...
As of yesterday, we are officially experiencing the wettest summer on record in Toronto. In June and July alone 290 mm (11.5 inches) of rain have fallen so far and there is more rain in the forecast for the next week. We also broke the record of 630 mm (25 inches) for the first seven months of the year. Toronto is the wettest city in all of Canada this summer and, so far, the only place to break records according to Environment Canada.
So what does one do with all of this rain???
Take off your shoes and make the most of it!We are not sure why this surprised any of us – but it did. A couple indoor, rainy day shots.
how cute!! at first i thought, oh what a mess. then i thought, what fun, good for her! it's so funny that you said you don't know why this surprised you - so true!! yesterday, maia picked up a beach pale that was FULL of mud and rain water, and just after i had hosed her off from eating a popsicle, she dumped it on herself! MUD BATH! at first i was upset, then i thought, this is funny! there will be a day when she won't dump mud on herself anymore so i'm happy they aren't afraid to getting dirty NOW. :)
How cute! Kids must be kids! I took Miras out to the garden with me the other day and, sure enough, the first thing he did was bend down, pick up dirt and eat it! Yuck!
(We had an incredibly wet June but it has dried up around here so send some rain our way now!)

Too Cute! Nothing a washing machine and good bath won't solve, but the pictures are priceless for a lifetime!

That looks like fun! She's a trooper. I like the long curls that your tomboy (?) is sporting. All that rain sounds pretty crazy.
What ever happened to sugar and spice? Nothing like the feeling of wet mud between the toes.
I love the muddy behind photos!!! We had to chuckle but of course it sure looked like fun.
We just arrived home from a little trip....better help Pat unpack :)
Just had to say hello!
